HAITAGAN VILLAGE DAMA POLLING STATIONS OF FAFI CONSTITUENCY

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by the Constitution of Kenya Review Act (Cap. 3A) and regulations 21 (1) and 21 (3) of the Constitution of Kenya Review (Referendum) Regulations, the Electoral Commission gives notice that polling for the purposes of the referendum on the Proposed New Constitution that was to take place on 21st November, 2005 in Sarirah Primary School, Muftu Primary School, Waradeijab Primary and Haitagan Village Dam polling stations of Fafi Constituency was postponed until 22nd November, 2005 because of adverse weather conditions.

THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA REVIEW ACT
(REFERENDUM) REGULATIONS, 2005

ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF KENYA
CERTIFICATE FO RESULTS OF REFERENDUM

IN EXERCISE   of the powers conferred by the Constitution of Kenya Review   (Amendment) Act, 2004 and regulation 37 (1) (d) of the Constitution of Kenya Review (Referendum) Regulations, 2005, the Electoral Commission certifies that the Proposed New Constitution of Kenya has not been ratified at the referendum held on 21st November, 2005 for its ratification.

The results of the referendum are as follows:

(a)  Votes cast for, were (in figures) 2,578,831 (in words) two million, five hundred and seventy-eight thousand, eight hundred and thirty-one.
(b)  Votes cast against, were (in figures) 3,579,241 in (in words) three million, five hundred and seventy-nine thousand, two hundred and forty-one.

THE CONSTITUTION OF KENYA REVIEW Act (REFERENDUM) REGULATIONS, 2005

REFERENDUM RESULTS

IN EXERCISE of the power  conferred by section 28A of the Constitution of Kenya Review (Amendment) Act 2004 and Regulation 37 (1) (c) the Constitution of Kenya Review (Referendum) Regulations 2005, the Electoral Commission gives notice of the results of the referendum held on 21st November, 2005 for the ratification of the proposed new constitution in each constituency as specified in the Schedule annexed hereto.

The constituencies are listed in the first column of the Schedule while the votes cast for or against the proposed new constitution are as indicated in the second and third columns respectively.
