THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 2) ORDER, 1993

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Remission) (No. 2) Order, 1992, and shall, unless earlier revoked, expire on the 1st December, 1993.

2. The whole of the import duty payable in respect of the plant, machinery , spare parts, motor vehicles, equipment and materials imported or purchased locally  prior to clearance through customs between the 1st October, 1992 and 31st December, 1993 by M/s. Joint Venture Strabag Bau-Ag Lima Limited  pursuant to the Nairobi City Commission and Joint Venture Strabag Bau-Ag Lima Limited Agreement (Third Nairobi Water Supply Project) dated 18th August, 1989 under written authority from the Permanent Secretary, Treasury is remitted but the appropriate rate of duty shall be payable on any plant, machinery, spare parts, motor vehicles, equipment and materials not utilised in the project and not re-exported upon expiry of this Order.
