THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 3) ORDER, 1993

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Remission) (No. 3) Order, 1992, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st October, 1992 and shall, unless earlier revoked, expire, on the 15th September, 1993.

2. The whole of the duty payable in respect of equipment, plant, machinery, materials, spare parts, accessories and motor vehicles imported or purchased locally prior to clearance through customs between 1st October, 1992 and 15th September, 1993 by Sogea pursuant to Nairobi City Commission and Sogea Agreement (Third Nairobi Water Supply Project) dated the 17th January, 1990 under written authority from the Permanent Secretary to the Treasury is remitted, but appropriate rate of duty shall be payable on any equipment, plant, machinery, material spare parts, accessories and motor vehicles not utilized in the Third Nairobi Water Supply Project and not re-exported upon expiry of this Order.
