THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 5) order, 1993

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Remission) (No. 5) Order, 1993, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 31st August, 1992 and shall, unless earlier revoked, expire on the 31st November, 1993.

2. The whole of the import duty payable in respect of twenty-five metric tons of cement and ten million litres of gasoil imported or purchased locally prior to clearance through customs by M/s. Strabag Bau Ag Lima Limited under written authority from the Permanent Secretary to the Treasury, for use in the construction of the 3rd Nairobi Water Supply Project is remitted but appropriate rate of tax shall be payable on the cement and gasoil not utilized in the project upon expiry of this Order.
