THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 7) ORDER

1.This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Remission) (No. 7) Order, 1993, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st July, 1992, and shall, unless earlier revoked, expire on the 28th February, 1993.

2. The whole of the import duty payable in respect of telephone exchanges and associated equipment imported or purchased locally prior to clearance through customs by or on behalf of the Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation and Italcom of Italy Agreement for use on National Digital Switching Network Project funded under the Italian Protocol dated 26th February, 1987 under written authority from Permanent Secretary to the Treasury shall be remitted  but the appropriate rate of duty shall be payable on any telephone exchanges and associated equipment not utilized in the project and not re-exported upon the expiry of this Order.
