SIXTH SCHEDULE FORM OF WARRANT OF DISTRESS.   THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 9) ORDER, 1993

THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (VARIATION OF DUTY) ORDER, 1993

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Variation of Duty) Order, 1993.

2. Import duty payable on-

(a) raw cotton imported by a cotton yarn manufacturer; and
(b) carpet yarn imported by a carpet manufacturer,

is reduced by twenty-five per cent of the existing rate subject to the following conditions-

(i) the raw cotton and carpet yarn is imported asraw materials for the purpose of manufacture only;

(ii) the importation is recommended by the Kenya Association of maunfacturers and is approved in writing by the Permanent Secretary to the Treasury.

3. This variation shall, unless earlier revoked, expire on the 31st March, 1993.
