THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 9) ORDER, 1993

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Remmision) (No. 9) Order, 1993, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 27th February, 1992 and shall, unless earlier revoked, expire on the 30th June, 1993.

2. The whole of the import duty payable in respect of the plant, contractors tools, equipment, vehicles, spare parts, tyres and tubes imported or purchased ex-customs bonded warehouse by M/s. Intex Construction Limited pursuant to the Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. Intex Construction Agreement dated 27th February, 1992 for the sole use in the construction of off-site sewerage works of the Athi River Export Processing Zone under written authority from the Permanent Secretary to the Treasury is remitted but appropriate rate of duty  shall be payable on the plant, tools, vehicles, spare parts, tyres and tubes not utilized in the project and not re-exported upon expiry of this Order.
