THE CUSTOMS AND EXCISE (REMISSION) (No. 17) ORDER, 1993

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs and Excise (Remission) (No. 17) Order, 1993, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 31st December, 1993 and shall, unless earlier revoked, expire on the 4th June, 1995.

2. The whole of the import duty payable in respect of equipment, plant, machinery, vehicles, materials, vehicles, spare parts, and accessories imported or purchased ex-customs bonded warehouse by M/s. Strabag Lima Joint Venture under written authority of the Permanent Secretary to the Treasury, for use on the construction of Thika Dam pursuant to Nairobi City Commission and M/s. Strabag Lima Joint Venture Agreement (Third Nairobi Water Supply Project) dated the 8th June, 1990 is remitted but appropriate rate of duty shall be payable on equipment, plant, machinery, vehicles, materials, spare parts and accessories not utilized on the project and not re-exported upon the expiry of this Order.
