| Tenure of office. |
12. (1) The Chairman and members of each Board, other than the ex-officio members and public officers, shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of appointment but shall be eligible for re-appointment for one further term.
(2) The appointment of all members of each Board as first constituted and at every change in membership there after shall be by notice published in the Gazette.
(3) No person shall qualify for appointment as a member of the Board of an Authority under subsections 5(1)(f), 8(1)(g) or 11(1)(g) unless such person is the holder of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification and has at least ten years' practical experience.
