29th February, 2008 LEGAL NOTICE NO. 25 THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS ACT (Cap. 7) EXTENSION OF PERIOD FOR THE ISSUE OF WRIT IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 13 (2) (c) of the National Assembly and Presidential Elections Act, the Speaker of the National Assembly after consultation with the Electoral Commission, extends the period for the issue of a writ for the purposes of the holding of an election to supply the vacancy in the membership of the National Assembly in respect of Wajir North Constituency which arose on 30th December, 2007 for a period of two months from 28th February, 2008, so as to facilitate the proper organization and holding of the election.
