TASKFORCE TO DEVELOP RULES AND REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL LAND COMMISSION ACT
APPOINTMENT

IT IS notified for the general information of the public that the Chairman of the National Land Commission has appointed a taskforce to develop rules and regulations under the National Land Act.

  1. The taskforce shall comprise of the following members—

  3. The terms of reference of the taskforce are to—
    1. develop rules, regulations and guidelines to implement the National Land Commission Act; and
    2. identify any inconsistencies between the National land Commission Act and any other Acts of  Parliament; and to propose the appropriate amendments.
  4. The taskforce may co-opt such other persons, who possess the appropriate competencies as are necessary for the performance of the terms of reference.
  5. The taskforce shall—
    1. prepare a detailed work plan;
    2. review any documents related to the terms of reference; and
    3. hold consultative meetings with professionals, land sector stakeholders and the members of public.
  6. The taskforce shall regulate its own procedure.
  7. The taskforce shall submit weekly reports of the progress made the taskforce to the National Land Commission.
  8. The Taskforce shall submit the final report to the National Land Commission within three months from the date of gazettement.
