CIO 100 Awards 2016

CIO100 Annual Symposium and Awards, 2016

“Measuring Enterprise Innovation”  The regional CIO100 Awards celebrate companies from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania for their innovative use of IT. The awards ceremony is an offshoot of the global CIO100 Awards which have been held for over two decades, during which time the awards have identified and recognized 100 companies that demonstrate excellence and achievement in IT across the globe.

The 6th CIO100 annual symposium and awards ceremony was held between November 10th & 11th 2016 in Naivasha and was organized by CIO East Africa, the leading magazine for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Industry in East Africa.

The CIO100 2016 Survey data collection process came to a close on Friday 7th October 2016 with an achievement of 536 applications, of which 406 were marked as complete. Out of these 406 complete applications, 200 top companies in East African made it to the final list for the CIO100 awards.
To make it to the top 100, companies will be required to showcase their ability to successfully apply technology in their business processes and achieve return on investment. The assessment emphasizes the relationship between two key aspects: Business processes and Business results.

The National Council for Law Reporting (Kenya Law) scooped two awards this year! These are;
- Achievement of a Gold Mark in recognition of excellence in Enterprise Information Technology Adoption.

- Award for deployment of technological solutions in the Public Sector.

Furthermore, Kenya Law made it to the top three companies recognized during this year’s award ceremony.
